10.-14. October 10th Viljandi Guitar Festival Viljandi

The aim of the Viljandi Guitar Festival is to promote improvisational and stylistic guitar playing. During the festival, people may hear improvisational guitar players who represent different genres and get to know about different improvisational techniques and types of guitar. The event brings together guitarists from Estonia and abroad, thereat developing international cooperation concerning guitar playing. Workshops  for students are also a vital part of the festival. 

07. October 6th Tartu City Marathon Tartu

The Tartu City Marathon course, which runs on the streets of the historical university town, is considered as one of the most exciting marathon courses in Estonia. The race is run in the following distances: marathon (42 km), half-marathon (21 km) as well as a 10 km Tartu City Run and Tartu Student Marathon. Nordic walkers are also welcome to take part in the 10 km events.

30. September 13th HAANJA100 MTB 2016 Haanja, Võru county

The toughest cycling event in Estonia is the perfect chance to test your physical and mental abilities in an ultramarathon. The vertical climb of the course is ca. 1600 m. The race has become a ”must attend” event for many riders in Estonia and abroad. 

25.-29. September Researchers' Night Festival 2017 Tartu, South-Estonia

Researchers' Night Festival TÖF is a festival with a colourful programme for the whole family that opens the door to the world of science and values knowledge.

24. September 20th Tartu Mountain Bike Race (Tartu Rattamaraton)

The third largest cross country marathon in the world offers cyclists of different age groups and fitness levels the pleasure of participating in one of the toughest cycling marathons. Every year around 7500 people take up the challenge. The two main distances are 89 and 40 km long and take the cyclists away from the city noise, to the varied landscape of South-Estonia. 

23.-24. September Japanese Pop Culture Festival "AniMatsuri" Tartu

 "AniMatsuri" is a Japanese pop culture festival held for the tenth time and intended mainly for youngsters. Interesting lectures, exciting competitions, workshops, martial arts demonstrations and much more will take place.The main attraction is the cosplay contest taking place on the second day. The winner of one of the categories will fly to London for the European championship. In addition, many exciting events will take place during September.

26.-27. August Lüübnitsa Onion & Fish Fair Lüübnitsa, Põlva county

In the Seto region, the summer catch and crops - fish and vegetables - are ready to be sold. Onion and garlic take centre stage. Visitors can buy handicrafts and take part in food and photo competitions. Children can find out how men carve wood and what it's like being a blacksmith's apprentice.

20. August Gran Fondo

The Hawaii Express Gran Fondo Estonia is a new and unique cycling event. For it is a race, that is actually not a race! The participants wear identical outfits and ride in unison from Tallinn to Tartu. The distance is 230-250, Medio Fondo distance 100-120 km and the maximum number of participants allowed is 500. 

20. August 11th Tartu Inline Skating Race Tartu

This is the biggest inline skating marathon in the Baltic States and in Scandinavia. Day before the main event the Tartu Inline Sprint and events for children are held. Every year more than 1500 people take part in the skating events, where amateurs can compete alongside some of the best inline skaters in Eastern Europe.

12. August Tartu Food Festival Tartu

Tartu Food Festival, a great celebration of Estonian food, takes place on the 12th of August, in the centre of Tartu.A wide variety of Estonian food and fresh produce will be presented and made available for purchase. The cafes and restaurants in Tartu will be offering attractive snacks and dishes made up of local produce. There will be a family-friendly entertainment programme in addition to the enjoyable food.

Visitors will be welcomed at farms across the region to taste local dishes made from local ingredients.
11.-13. August Power Camp 2017 Otepää

American cars meeting will take place Annimatsi camping ground in Otepää during Aug 11-13, 2017. 

05. August 24th Seto Kingdom Day Värska, Põlva county

On this important day, the people of Setomaa decide who is the earthly representative of the mythical King Peko for the next 12 months – the ülembsootska.

The festival day features pageantry and sticks to a traditional format: the Seto anthem is sung, the people choose the best artists and artisans and the new leader is elected. Improvisational singers and dancers compete against each other, Seto food and crafts are prepared. The Seto military can be seen at the end of the day. Visitors are then invited to a kirmas, a Seto party with instrumental music, leelo singing and dancing.

This is the biggest triathlon competition in the Baltics, featuring the leading triathletes from around the world.

Intsikurmu Music Festival attracts people back to the woods in order to find themselves and their predecessors through music. Charged with incredible ancient energy, the festival venue under the tall trees is a beautiful sight for the eyes. A wide-ranging music programme exudes warmth and has a healing effect amidst the hustle and bustle of modern times. The place with long traditions is given a new dimension and life through a forward-looking concept, in which we ourselves and the people around us play a major role. Video installations, international acts and music with meaning is what the festival is all about.

Motorcyclists meeting since 1992. We have bands on three nights, competitions, prizes, excursions on Thursday and Friday to interesting places in Estonia (on your own bikes, organisers have arranged guides). You'll get additional info on the spot.

27.-30. July Viljandi Folk Music Festival Viljandi

The festival takes place in the castle hills of Viljandi and various venues all across the town. Exciting foreign artists and the best folk music performers from Estonia, Green Stage, Handicraft Yard, Runo Song Nest and a workshop programme to suit every preference are just a few highlights of the festival.
